SIMULCULA
Simucula is a visual collaboration with long-time friend and creative ally, Salar Kheradpejouh, an Iranian-born, German photographer. The work explores the relationship between time, form, and identity through layered media and experimental process.
A simulacrum (from Latin simulacrum, meaning “likeness” or “semblance”) is a representation or imitation of a person or thing, an echo of something real, yet transformed by perception. Simucula exists in that space between memory and creation: a reflection, a distortion, a dialogue between what was and what remains.
Blending photography, sculpture, and motion, it becomes an abstract conversation between two perspectives, one rooted in heritage, the other in evolution. A study of duality, distance, and the art of becoming.
