BOKOR

The Bokor Collection (2016) was born from sound, spirit, and rebellion. Its name draws from Baraka, the 1992 visual and sonic documentary that explored humanity, ritual, and rhythm, also from Haitian voodoo, where the word Bokor represents the shadow side of creation: the alchemist, the conjurer, the maker of meaning.

The collection was forged through experimentation, I wrapped burkas, sculpted couture pieces, and styled them on set in a blur of creative instinct and raw flow. There was no blueprint, just pure expression. Each piece carried the tension between chaos and control, ancient ritual and modern design.

Bokor became the blueprint for what Brohn Smith would evolve into raw, intentional, and unapologetically human. The textures, the symbols, the sense of duality, these elements still live in every collection that’s followed. Bokor wasn’t just a beginning; it was the ignition.
