ADDICTED TO DIAMONDS
Is a fixation on excess, skin, and bling, inspired by the hyper-glam, hyper-sexual visual world of Amanda Lepore and the saturated decadence of David LaChapelle’s 1990s-era lens.
Brohn’s obsession with Australian parti sapphires cut through the lens, fractured colour, unpredictable, alive. No two stones behave the same. That’s the point.
This is high jewellery driven by appetite, there is nothing polite about natural stones worn this close to the body. They carry history, pressure, heat, and they demand contact. Our diamonds and sapphires don’t decorate, they dominate.
More is the intention.
Desire is the direction.
High jewellery for those who don’t admire diamonds, they’re addicted to them.
